Text messages

Transactional messages about bookings you have made — nothing else:

• •Booking confirmations, when you book a tee time or a lesson
• •Cancellation notices, if a booking is cancelled
• •Reminders before a tee time or lesson you booked
• •A one-time verification code when you add your number

We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Tee time alerts — the notifications about newly available times — are sent by email or in the app only, never by text.

You are never enrolled automatically. To receive texts you must have a Skratch Golf account, add your mobile number, confirm it with a code we text you, and then tick an unchecked consent box either while booking or on your profile page.

Confirm booking

We record the date, the number, and the exact wording shown, so we can always show what you agreed to.

Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how much you book. A golfer with no bookings receives no messages. Most golfers receive at most a couple of messages per booking.

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop immediately and permanently. In French, ARRET works the same way. You can also turn texts off from your profile page at any time, without replying to anything.

Reply START to turn them back on. Reply HELP for help, or email us at info@skratchgolf.ca.

Stopping texts never affects your bookings. You will still get the same information by email.

Skratch Golf does not charge you for text messages. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

We use your mobile number to contact you about your bookings, to let golf facilities reach you about a tee time you booked, and to confirm you are a real person. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
