1. Overview
Skratch Golf Inc. ("Skratch Golf", "we") uses cookies and equivalent client-side storage technologies (collectively, "cookies") on skratchgolf.ca and within the Skratch Golf mobile application. This policy is incorporated by reference into our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Skratch Golf deploys strictly necessary cookies to authenticate sessions and, subject to your consent, analytics cookies to measure platform performance. We do not deploy advertising cookies, do not sell personal information, and do not share cookie data with third-party advertising networks or data brokers.
2. Categories of Cookies
Skratch Golf deploys two categories of cookies. No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking technologies are used.
Strictly Necessary
Always onRequired for the platform to function. Cannot be disabled without impairing access to authenticated features.
- •Supabase authentication tokens — session and refresh tokens that maintain your signed-in state. Expiry: session-bound, typically seven days.
- •Tee time hold — short-lived identifier reserving a selected tee time during the booking flow. Expiry: five minutes.
- •Consent record — stores your response to this banner. Stored in localStorage, key
skratch_cookie_consent_v1. - •Language preference — stores your selected interface language (English or French). Stored in localStorage, key
skratch_locale.
Legal basis (PIPEDA): legitimate interest necessary for service delivery.
Analytics
Opt-inAggregate platform usage measurement. Deployed only following your affirmative consent.
- •PostHog — captures page views, user interactions, and session duration. IP addresses are pseudonymised prior to storage. No data is used for advertising or third-party disclosure. Expiry: twelve months.
Legal basis (PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25): express, opt-in consent. Disabled by default.
3. Managing Your Preferences
You may modify or withdraw your consent at any time:
- •On this site: use to adjust the analytics toggle. Changes take effect immediately.
- •Browser-level: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent bookings.
- •Full withdrawal: contact info@skratchgolf.ca. Upon receipt, analytics processing ceases and PostHog identifiers are deleted.
Refusing analytics cookies does not restrict access to any feature of the platform.
4. Mobile Application
The Skratch Golf mobile application does not use HTTP cookies. It employs equivalent on-device storage to persist your authentication session and consent preferences.
On first launch, you will be presented with a consent screen offering the same three options available on the web (Accept all, Reject all, Customize). The native application does not currently integrate any analytics SDK. Any future integration will be deployed solely behind your express, opt-in consent.
5. Third-Party Processors
The following service providers process limited data on our behalf in connection with cookies. Each maintains its own privacy notice.
- •Supabase — authentication and database. Strictly necessary session cookies. Privacy policy.
- •PostHog — analytics, opt-in only. Anonymous identifier. Privacy policy.
- •Vercel — hosting. No visitor cookies; logs request metadata for abuse prevention. Privacy policy.
- •Stripe — payments. Anti-fraud cookies on payment surfaces only. Privacy policy.
Skratch Golf does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, advertising conversion tracking, or any retargeting service.
6. Legal Framework
Skratch Golf is incorporated in British Columbia and processes personal information in accordance with the following Canadian privacy legislation:
- •PIPEDA — Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (federal).
- •PIPA (BC) — Personal Information Protection Act (provincial).
- •Law 25 (Quebec) — express opt-in consent for non-essential cookies. We apply the Law 25 standard to all visitors, regardless of province.
This platform is not currently directed at users outside Canada and has not been configured for GDPR (European Economic Area) or CCPA (California) compliance. Visitors from those jurisdictions remain entitled to refuse non-essential cookies via the consent banner.
7. Amendments
This policy may be amended when cookies or processors are added or removed. The effective date above reflects the most recent material change. If a new non-essential category is introduced, you will be re-prompted for consent on your next visit.
