Skratch Golf Inc. ("Skratch Golf", "we", "us", "our") operates the Skratch Golf platform — a tee time booking service available at skratchgolf.ca and through our mobile application.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Skratch Golf. By using our platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and your data is handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Account information — When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number.

Booking information — When you book a tee time, we collect details about your booking: the golf facility, date, time, number of players, and booking status.

Profile information — You may optionally provide a handicap index, which is stored in your profile and used to display your handicap trend over time.

Location data — With your permission, we use your device's location to show nearby golf facilities and calculate distances. We do not store your precise location history.

Usage data — We collect basic information about how you interact with the app (e.g., which golf facilities you view, searches you perform) to improve the platform. This data is not linked to your identity for advertising purposes.

Device information — We may collect basic device identifiers and operating system information to support app functionality and troubleshoot issues.

We use your information only for purposes related to providing the Skratch Golf service:

• •Creating and managing your account
• •Processing and confirming tee time bookings
• •Sending booking confirmations and reminders
• •Showing you relevant golf facilities based on your location and preferences
• •Tracking your round history and handicap trend
• •Responding to your questions and support requests
• •Improving the platform based on how it is used

We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We do not build advertising profiles based on your activity.

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• •Golf golf facilities: When you make a booking, we share your name and booking details with the relevant golf facility so they can honour your reservation.
• •Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Resend (email delivery) to operate the platform. These providers process your data only as necessary to provide their services to us.
• •Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of Skratch Golf, its users, or the public.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

This section applies only if you are a Skratch Golf coach and choose to connect a calendar (Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook) to your Coach Portal. Golfers are never asked to connect a calendar.

If you connect a calendar, we access it solely to: (1) read your event times so we can show when you are available or busy on your Skratch coaching schedule, and (2) create or remove lesson and block events so your Skratch bookings stay in sync with your calendar.

We never sell this data, never use it for advertising, and never show your event details to golfers — golfers only ever see a time as available or unavailable, never the title or contents of your events.

Skratch Golf's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect your calendar at any time from the Coach Portal, which immediately stops all access.

Skratch Golf requests access to your device's location to show nearby golf facilities and calculate distances. This is optional — you can use Skratch Golf without granting location access, though distance-based features will not be available.

We use your location in real time to improve search results. We do not store your precise location history on our servers.

You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.

We retain your account information and booking history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

You have the right to:

• •Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• •Delete your account and associated personal data
• •Withdraw consent to location access at any time via your device settings

Skratch Golf uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in, and (with your explicit permission) anonymous analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers, and we do not sell cookie data.

We take the security of your data seriously. Skratch Golf uses industry-standard measures to protect your information:

• •All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• •Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• •Database access is controlled with row-level security — each user can only access their own data
• •API routes are rate-limited to prevent abuse

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@skratchgolf.ca.

Skratch Golf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

Users between 13 and 17 must have a parent or legal guardian review and consent to these terms before creating an account, as described in our Terms of Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email or in-app notification.

Your continued use of Skratch Golf after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
